A keen supporter of the countryside and countryside pursuits he is anxious to preserve the country way of life and historical aspects of the Parish as a whole, whilst recognising the need to embrace modern methods and technology to be used to enhance the future of the Parish and it's children.

Paul Chadney - Crockernwell
Paul was born in Cardiff in 1968. He started his career with Barclays Bank in 1987 and met his wife, Cath, whilst working at its Regional Office in Cardiff. Their first child, Holly, was born in 1996 and they have two more daughters, Ella and Evie.
Paul's interest in Caravan Parks started when they moved to Cardigan and rented a house on a Caravan Park. Through the Caravan Park owner, they became interested in the industry which has since shaped Pauls work and personal life dramatically.
Paul began specialising in the Caravan Park sector at Barclays, which led to the formation of the Barclays Holiday and Home Park team in 1999, of which he is still National Director.
In 2004, Paul and Cath found that Barley Meadow Caravan Park in Crockernwell was for sale - they viewed it and decided to go for it. A walk down at Fingle Bridge sealed it!! Since moving in back in March 2005, it has been hard work, but very rewarding.
Paul's first experience of the Parish Council was during a routine planning application visit to the Caravan Park during their renovations. He found all the Councillors approachable and very knowledgeable about what was and was not acceptable to the local community. He was honoured to be asked to stand as a Councillor for Crockernwell and delighted to be elected. Paul says that being part of the Council has broadened his knowledge of the area immensely, especially as there is so much experience sat around the Parish Council meeting table!
Paul hopes to be able to contribute his experience as a local businessman to help the Parish community and he is more than happy to be contacted by any local resident on any aspects of Parish business.
He looks forward to meeting more of the Parishoners in the future.
