Bella Snook - Parish Clerk /Financial Oficer - Whiddon Down Bella's very early years were spent in Cornwall, then on to Hertfordshire where she grew up, achieving a decent bunch of O levels. She worked for many years in hairdressing, managing a salon with a team of 20 staff, then moved into interior design running her own business. When life near the M25 started to grate Canada beckoned, having visited friends and family over there. During the lengthy Canadian immigration process they (other half is Peter), got a chance of 3 months in Totnes, 11 years later Peter and Bella are still in Devon! Life in Devon brought varied work with several happy years working with children & animals at Pennywell Farm, Buckfastleigh, in the National Trust shop at Castle Drogo, and running the Community Shop at Exbourne. Days off find Bella gardening, both productive and pretty, scuba diving with the local branch of the British Sub Aqua Club, and walking Macey-the-dog. Evenings include cinema, occasional opera, and the Post Inn, Whiddon Down. Holidays involve ski-ing, walking the South West Coast Path or visiting friends around the Great Lakes in Canada & US. Having taken a ‘gap winter’ a few years ago, and travelled around the world, Devon is definitely home!

Parish Plan
Towards the end of 2006, the Parish Council requested the community consider producing a Parish Plan to inform the Council of the needs and desires of its constituents. A Public Meeting was held to elect volunteers from across the Parish to form a Working Party, and the document below is the result of their efforts.
